While it may be hard for some of us to trust another Canadian artist after being betrayed by their deliciously awful pop sensations one too many times, this next track comes to us again from America’s hat: A cool and spunky alternative rap song from notable underground lyricist and producer, k-os. In a genre dominated by dueling necklaces and religiously-confused grizzly bears, k-os truly is a breath of fresh air to the industry. While always promoting a positive message to his audience, he brings a genuine musical talent to all of his work, credited for both writing and producing virtually all of his music:

“I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman” – k-os

With a familiar sample and some friendly vocals, it is hard not to kick it to this song, especially as the weather begins to take a turn for the better. For those of you who have heard this song before, you already recognize its versatility, appropriate both on the beach for a summer outing or in a dorm room to start out the night’s shenanigans. For those of you who haven’t heard this song yet, you will almost immediately find yourself nodding your head to the beat, and I guarantee you will be singing along by the end of your first listen.
Since it’s 2009 release, this song has only become more and more relevant. At this point, who doesn’t wish they knew Natalie Portman?
