So I heard this song a little while back and enjoyed it immensely after the first listen, a feat which only a few singles have been able to accomplish. It has similar feel to a lot of the other independent music that has been making the jump from college iTunes libraries into mainstream radio play. Without further ado, and before the local DJ’s ruin it for everyone, I present:
“It’s Time” – Imagine Dragons
I thought I was so progressive and ahead of the curve when I first selected this song for post, until I watched the new trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of “The Perks of Being A Wallflower” (which actually looks quite good, by the way.) Becoming the unofficial themesong for this highly anticipated movie guarantees that this song will gain insane amounts of popularity, hopefully launching this young Las Vegas band back into the studio to continue making great music.
Or they will just become sell-outs. Either way, I am excited to see where this band goes over the next several months, especially as they embark on a tour with AWOLNATION this summer. Now that is a ticket I can get behind.
