Things to come.

Let us jump right back into the swing of things with a song that I have been listening to non-stop for the past few weeks. Hailing from South Africa, the four Kongo brothers  have put out one hell of a sophomore single effort with:

While this song has been getting some serious recognition on their hometown Capetown radio stations, it remains relatively unknown in the States. For now. After hearing this track for the first time and racking up an absurd play count in my iTunes, I do not hesitate to offer my official prediction of worldwide popularity for this insanely catchy song. Unfortunately, there is not much that I can say about the actual band that I did not  mention in the opening sentence, so we better delve right into the music itself.

Wow. This track exemplifies everything that is right with music right now. It has such a cool sound, from the opening accordion riff to the spooky choral chanting, I was just completely blown away by everything this song has to offer. It sounds like a melodic tour through a renaissance carnival of freaks and sideshow oddities. Absolutely killer in every sense of the word.

I have never thought about another song in this way, but I feel like if I were a director of music videos, this would song would be my first choice. So visually inspiring. So much imagination. So vivid. The potential for this song is out of this world.

So without further delay, give this song a download, toss it into your delay rotation, shuffle with confidence, and get ready for the inevitable “I-told-you-sos” once this tune becomes the international sensation that it deserves to be.
